Danser
has developed unique capabilities for doing "hot work"
repairing or updating a kiln while it is still operating, so there's little
interruption in production. Danser's hot work minimizes the need for shutting down a kiln, waiting for it to cool, then reheating it to operating temperatures after the repair or installation. That process can take days and seriously impact production and costs, wasting fuel and product. Hot work can reduce the days to hours, and the dollar savings can reach into the thousands. The process is made possible by Danser's design and fabrication expertise. The elements to be installed are crafted to exact tolerances, which ensures smooth, sure assembly. For ductwork, it is installed on the kiln in a rapid sequence where a fan is temporarily shut down or a back-draft created. Normal kiln operations are quickly resumed. Other operations like piping and burner installation may take no kiln shutdown at all. Danser has developed this hot work capability over years of successful projects. Danser crews are expert at assessing what needs to be done, planning the process, then doing the work expertly and quickly. They have operated all over the country and internationally. In many cases, the response has been on an emergency basis, with a few days (even hours) notice. The
advantages of Danser's hot work capabilities:
