Boral Bricks

Danser, Inc. recently completed a 21,700 man–hour job at the new Boral Bricks facility in Terre Haute, IN. The 259,000 square–foot plant occupies a 530 feet long by 33 feet wide kiln capable of producing 120 million bricks annually. The Danser team fabricated and installed a heat recovery system, multiple kiln recirc–systems, dryer recirc–systems, all the fuel piping, assembled kiln cars, and preformed a complete insulation and lagging install for the project.

The new facility is the largest and most energy efficient brick plant in the United States utilizing a nearby landfill for methane gas as a natural gas substitute. The Boral plant also recycles all materials used in its manufacturing process including processed water.

The plant officially opened on March 13, 2008. Danser, Inc. was privileged to be contracted on this $58 million zero-waste facility.
